From one our amazing Cosmetology instructors - Ms. Lograsso:⠀
"... many people fail to realize that every #cosmetology student must learn chemistry, electricity, geometry, anatomy, physiology & microbiology (in addition to tons of additional "beauty school" areas of study). I am so proud of my 33 junior students who killed it on their first semester final exam, which encompassed all these topics. I love what I do and am so proud that my students take pride in their education!"⠀
Congratulations to our juniors! #ThisIsTech#realworldskills#stl#CTE
The VDC team from PARIC visited with our Construction, Web & Computer Programming, Cisco Networking, and Electronics & Robotics programs last week to share demonstrations of innovative technologies regularly used in construction. Students learned about drones, virtual and augmented reality, and 3D modeling tools that have become staples in the industry. Thanks for sharing so much with our students! #ThisIsTech#construction#CTE#STL#realworldskills#highschool#workforcedevelopment
Veterinary students recently visited @DuoDogsInc, a non-profit training facility that provides service and therapy dogs to individuals with special needs. Our students have a wide variety of post-secondary interests, including pursuing careers in animal-assisted therapy. Thanks Duo for giving our students this great field experience! #ThisIsTech#STL#realworldskills#CTE#veterinaryassistant
Electrical Trades challenged all programs to a food drive for @CircleofConcern and collected over 2000 items! Thanks to program instructor Mr. Hirth and his students for all their hard work! #ThisIsTech
@rockwoodschooldistrict's George Allen and our own Bob Arcipowski are hard at work finishing up this special gift for the @stlouisblues! Thank you @kmovnews4 and Steve Harris for sharing the news. Precision machinists make a lot of amazing things - from jet engine components to high tech prosthetics - and these Stanley Cup replica ornaments have been a GREAT way to practice the #realworldskills of programming and machining we teach in this course at Tech! https://www.kmov.com/news/south-county-students-making-custom-ornaments-for-blues-players/article_a1c0d78e-1b99-11ea-bbca-5f91ca1cc9d6.html?fbclid=IwAR1vxadMl2_82a4RoXxIPoitTy9UMFgFYXLTN6ivTyxjCPxOWr3VvdmH98E #ThisIsTech#CTE#STL#precisonmachining#machinetools#machineshop#engineering

We are wrapping up our series of visits with Lindbergh PEGS students and we couldn't have been happier to host. Our students have done a wonderful job introducing these bright and curious children to our programs! #ThisIsTech#cte
@educisco students visited Ranken before the break and participated in a VoIP (Voice Over IP Phone) lab. Due to rapid upgrade projections in corporate and business networking infrastructure, the demand for certified networking professionals continues to climb. Our students are getting the jump start they need to be college AND career ready! #ThisIsTech#CTE#STL#realworldskills
